Barbara Jean Bryce

Barb has been designing instruments for Sonic Playground since May '02. Her interest in designing began in high school where she won the Havergal College Dramatic Society's Coultman Award for set designs.

She has volunteered in primary schools in both Italy and Holland assisting with children's theatre. In Holland she built a full-scale baby elephant that was later moved to a Public Library. In Guelph, Barb has designed sets for 9 Season Singers theatrical children's choir productions with director Sue Smith. Her formal training is in Landscape Architecture and her current focus is her own garden.

She illustrates regularly for What If, Fiction Magazine for Teens, and also designs and builds stained glass windows. Barb lives with her husband Ricardo, an orange dog, an orange cat and two fantastic teenagers.
